Social innovation can transform barriers into opportunities, strengthening inclusion and social cohesion on the islands. Inmersocial Canarias is one of the projects subsidized in the latest call for applications from the Ministry of Universities, Science, Innovation and Culture, through the Canary Agency for Research, Innovation and Information Society (ACIISI), and uses Virtual Reality (VR) and immersive technologies to promote inclusion, psychological support, and personal development for vulnerable groups in the Canary Islands.

With a grant of 99,990 euros, Inmersocial Canarias, from the entity Evgenii Denisov, will create a mobile VR office and community booths in social and educational centers and public spaces, to bring the project closer through immersive experiences adapted to different needs.

Users can interact with professionals, share experiences, access VR180 3D content and maintain emotional and community support networks, turning technology into a real tool for inclusion and social participation.

Furthermore, the digital platform “Ágora Digital Canarias” will offer a safe and accessible space where to complement in-person support with creativity, learning, and connection with other participants. The project will be developed between March 2026 and March 2027.

This project is one of the nine selected in the social innovation call from ACIISI for the 2026-2027 period, all of them aimed at responding to social challenges through innovative solutions and with funding close to 100% of the budget.
