Due to the war between Israel and Iran, gasoline prices rose in June (1.036 euros per liter) in Lanzarote compared to May (1.002 euros).
However, the current average price on the island is 25.5% lower than those shown twelve months ago, according to data from the General Directorate of Industry and Energy of the Government of the Canary Islands.
Also in the case of gasoline 95, which currently costs 1.210 euros per liter, 20.1% cheaper than during June last year.
Diesel costs today in Lanzarote 1.021 euros per liter, 24.9% less than what was charged twelve months ago.
Since the entry of low-cost establishments on the island last year, Lanzarote has had the cheapest gasoline in the Canary Islands for several months, so it has not yet been able to access the bonus approved by the regional government for non-capital islands.
In fact, Lanzarote has accumulated four consecutive months with the cheapest gasoline in the archipelago. Currently it marks 1.110 euros on average.
In Gran Canaria and Tenerife the liter is at 1.143 and 1.140 euros respectively, while in Fuerteventura it amounts to 1.247 euros.
In La Gomera it costs 1.334 euros, in La Palma 1.315 euros and in El Hierro 1.409.
