The increase in fuel prices does not stop due to the double closure of Hormuz by Iran and the United States, a strait through which 20% of the world's oil recently circulated.
In Lanzarote, the month of May starts with several gas stations about to charge 1.7 euros per liter of diesel.
Furthermore, no gas station on the island can now offer prices below 1.5 euros per liter despite the tax cuts carried out by the central and regional governments.
The most expensive of all the gas stations in Lanzarote to purchase diesel at the start of May is Disa Yaiza at kilometer two of the road that goes towards Montañas de Fuego, where it is sold at 1.699 euros per liter.
The second most expensive on the island is also a Disa, in this case the one on Arrecife's Calle Iguazú, where it is sold for 1.697 euros per liter. In third place is the Repsol on the LZ2 between Arrecife and Playa Blanca with a cost of 1.675 euros.
On the opposite side of the table continues Plenenergy in Arrecife, where diesel is currently sold at 1.519 euros.
The second cheapest establishment on the island is the Disa in Mácher where the liter is at 1.538 euros, and in third place the SPL on the LZ2 between Arrecife and Yaiza which sells it for 1.559 euros.
