The airline Air Europa has reached an agreement with the company Foundspot to apply its IT solution to the location of objects that travelers forget on airplanes.
The collaboration will allow to digitize this type of processes making them more efficient, while offering its customers a quick way to find anything they may have forgotten.
The system is based on an exclusive algorithm developed by Foundspot that works with artificial intelligence. Passengers, upon detecting the loss of an object, can enter the page enabled by Air Europa and Foundspot to register their loss.
In addition to reducing location times in this type of situation, the procedure helps to optimize storage space by increasing the return rate between 80% and 400%, also avoiding unnecessary replacement of the loss by the customer.
How does it work?
By simply specifying what it is, where you think you left it and when, Foundspot's technology looks for matches with other objects found by airline staff, previously stored in their facilities and notified to the platform.
Air Europa staff is responsible for verifying if there is a match and, if it is positive, the user receives an email to complete a form and activate the process of sending their object by courier to anywhere in the world.
In addition to César Manrique, the service is already active at the airports of Madrid-Barajas, Palma de Mallorca, Barcelona, Málaga, Valencia, Alicante, Bilbao, Ibiza and Gran Canaria.
