In one of the most relevant asset and corporate operations in the automotive sector in the archipelago in recent years, the giant Domingo Alonso Group has closed this October the acquisition of the emblematic Lanzarote firm Juan Toledo S.L., as Ekonomus has been able to confirm through sources close to the negotiation.
The integration consolidates Domingo Alonso's territorial expansion and operational capacity in the eastern islands. Juan Toledo S.L. is a family business founded in 1967 and legally constituted as a limited company in 1984, with its main headquarters in Arrecife.
Over more than five decades, it has established itself as a benchmark in the sale, distribution, and comprehensive service of new, semi-new, and used vehicles, as well as in after-sales, spare parts, and specialized technical services. As an official representative of international brands such as Renault, Dacia, and Nissan, the firm has covered everything from efficient and sustainable mobility solutions to fleets of industrial and commercial vehicles adapted to the current economy.
On the other hand, Domingo Alonso Group brings large-scale corporate and international muscle. With agricultural origins dedicated to the export of tomatoes, the group made the leap to the automotive sector in 1953 as an importer of Volkswagen. Nine decades later, the company has a workforce of more than 1,600 people and operates in 48 international markets.
Its retail unit manages official dealerships for more recognized brands besides Volkswagen, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, Škoda, Audi, Ducati, Honda, Honda Motorcycles, Hyundai, Citroën, and DS. Additionally, it has Domingo Alonso Ocasión, the brand specializing in second-hand vehicles.
With this move, the experience in personalized service, comprehensive advice, and local roots of the Juan Toledo S.L. team are integrated into the technological infrastructure, innovation culture, and future mobility solutions championed by Domingo Alonso Group.
