Milano Home Factory, commercial brand and flagship of the Lanzarote group Muebles Milano, has signed a brand ambassadorship agreement with Hecher Sosa, a professional mixed martial arts fighter from the UFC known as ‘The Guanche Warrior’.
With more than 50 years of experience in the sector, the Group also has two other stores specializing in sleep products on the island: Colchones en Canarias, in Arrecife, and Colchones.es, in Tías.
Shared Values
The alliance stems from a clear affinity of values, such as perseverance, effort, dedication, and self-improvement that define Hecher Sosa's career, values that have guided the commercial brand since its beginnings as Muebles Milano for more than half a century in a previous family stage, and as they are also recognized today as Grupo Milano in honor of the company founded by Juan Ramón Martín's parents.
This agreement adds to the brand's trajectory of always supporting various sports projects on the island, which on this occasion has chosen the Lanzarote fighter as its ambassador: a figure who embodies, both inside and outside the octagon, the idea that performance begins with good rest.
Juan Ramón's connection with sports is also personal, as in addition to being the manager of Milano Home Factory, he is a competitive tennis player and presides over the Club Set y Partido on the island.

A Fighter from Lanzarote in the World Elite
Born in the Los Alonso neighborhood, Hecher Sosa has built his career without leaving Lanzarote behind. In September 2025, he achieved his great dream by defeating the Brazilian Mackson Lee by unanimous decision in the main event of Dana White's Contender Series, earning him a contract with the UFC, the largest mixed martial arts organization in the world.
In addition to his professional career, Sosa has promoted sports on the island as a promoter of the Guanche Warriors event, held at the Municipal Sports Palace of Arrecife, and with initiatives such as open training sessions for the public. His next challenge will be his second fight in the UFC, on December 5, 2026, in Saudi Arabia, against the Finn Abdul Hussein in the bantamweight category.

On the occasion of the agreement signing, Juan Ramón Martín Padrón and Hecher Sosa explain what led them to join forces, what role rest plays in the life of a professional athlete, and what the public will be able to see throughout the season.
JUAN RAMÓN MARTÍN
At the head of a family business with more than half a century of history in Lanzarote, Juan Ramón Martín has always maintained a close link with sports, both personally and through support for various sports projects on the island.
Q. Why Hecher Sosa and why now?
A. Hecher is today one of the great references of sport in Lanzarote. He has reached the UFC through hard work, without shortcuts and without ceasing to live on his island, and that is exactly what we value and understand as effort and constancy. Accompanying him just as he begins his stage in the world elite seemed like the best possible moment.
Q. What does a furniture and rest company have to do with a mixed martial arts fighter?
R. Much more than might seem at first glance. A high-performance athlete trains at their limit, and their recovery depends largely on how they rest. We have been advising families in Lanzarote on how to sleep better and feel better at home for over 50 years, and for someone with such demands to trust us is the best proof that what we do works.
P. The company is not new to supporting sports.
R. No, supporting the island's sports is part of our way of being. I myself play tennis and my son has been involved in this sport since he was very young, first with the Set y Partido club here in Lanzarote, and now that he studies away from home, also through this sport. So I know what it means for an athlete to feel that their homeland is behind them. This agreement is another step in that commitment.
P. What will customers see during the season?
R. Hecher will be present in our stores and on our social media, sharing with us and our community those rest and home tips that are so important for their preparation. We want people to understand that sleeping well and feeling comfortable in their homes is not a luxury, but a fundamental part of anyone's health and performance, also for their day-to-day life.

For his part, Hecher Sosa has gone from the Los Alonso neighborhood to the most demanding octagon in the world, and faces his second fight in the UFC with the backing of a company from his island.
P. What role does rest play in the preparation of a professional fighter?
R. I always say that rest is very important because if you don't rest well, you can't perform well. There is a triangle with three pillars to follow: train well, eat well, and rest well, which must be in balance because when one fails, they all fail. So you have to rest as best as possible to perform as best as possible.
P. What does it mean to you that a company from Lanzarote supports you?
R. The truth is, it's a great pride, because I always represent Lanzarote with my values, striving to the fullest to reach the top and represent the people of Lanzarote in the best way. So, to be able to represent such a large company from here is also a pride for me, and as I always say, I will do it in the best way.
P. You reached the UFC after winning in the Dana White’s Contender Series. What has changed since then?
R. Above all, on a personal level where I have less and less time, since being a public figure and reaching where I have reached implies giving much more of myself, not only on a sporting level which requires training more and better each time, but on a personal level where I have managed to form companies and so on, so I have less time to be with my family and friends, but we are performing as we like and growing day by day.
P. How are you approaching your next fight?
With a lot of excitement, I was really looking forward to fighting in the UFC again, since I did well in the first fight with a great victory and I am eager to get back into the most famous octagon in the world and give my best as always. We are going for that victory, there is no doubt about it.
