The Lanzarote company Arrecife Bus (INTERCITYBUS LANZAROTE) has been chosen as `Company of the Year 2020' in the Intercity Transport category in the national awards granted by the magazine Autobuses & Autocares since 1992.
The awards ceremony took place last Thursday, December 19, at the Ifema fairgrounds in Madrid. Esther Cabrera, General Director of Arrecife Bus, was in charge of collecting this well-deserved recognition from the General Director of Land Transport of the Ministry of Development, Mercedes Gómez.
The Jury of these awards, composed of prominent personalities from Spanish road passenger transport, chooses the best operator after analyzing the quality of the service offered, the implementation of new technologies, the innovative initiatives launched, the management of available resources, and the daily effort of the staff to improve the service, among many other aspects. All of this has earned the Lanzarote company this important award.
At the event, they thanked all those who make up Intercitybus Lanzarote, drivers and Administration staff for their professionalism, dedication, and affection for the company. "Without them, it would not be possible."
The main values of Intercitybus, in addition to the service it offers, are the commitment to sustainability and responsibility towards the environment. To this end, they have a fleet of state-of-the-art buses, with which they have managed to considerably reduce their CO2 emissions in recent years, and whose average vehicle age is 3.8 years.
