The Hospiten Group and the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) have agreed to an agreement to support campaigns and dissemination actions that help prevent cancer or improve the situation of those affected.
The objective is to organize talks and workshops where this disease is given visibility, as well as through the promotion of healthy habits, in order to help raise awareness and inform, which translates into improving the quality of life of people.
For their part, the vice president and CEO of the Hospiten Group, Pedro Luis Cobiella Beauvais, and the president of AECC in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Andrés Orozco Muñoz, have announced that the agreement will be valid for one year, and will be integrated into Hospiten's corporate social responsibility plan.
"We feel committed to patients and thanks to this new project we reaffirm our support to continue promoting cancer prevention and all advances in diagnosis and treatment that allow us to offer people the best medical options," explains Pedro Luis Cobiella.
The Hospiten Group, based on all the Canary Islands, is dedicated to providing free psychological, social and physiotherapy support to both people with cancer and their families. In addition, since 2010, the prestigious MD Anderson Cancer Center Madrid became part of this group with the aim of launching more actions aimed at promoting health.
"This year we celebrate our 30th anniversary in the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, faithful to our mission, we support and accompany people with cancer and their families, we educate the population about health and we finance research projects that allow a better diagnosis and treatment of this disease", Andrés Orozco pointed out.
