'CICAR' attends 'Fitur' confident that 2024 will be a tourist year "as good" as the last

During the intervention at the fair, the CEO of CICAR, Mamerto Cabrera, announced the incorporation of an 'audio guide' of the capitals of the Islands

Visit of Fernándo Clavijo to the 'CICAR' stand at 'Fitur'

The Canarian company 'CICAR', leader in the car rental segment in the Canary Islands, has attended the 'International Tourism Fair' of Madrid 2024 (Fitur) confident that this tourist year "will be as good as the last one", in
the words of its CEO, Mamerto Cabrera.

The CEO of 'CICAR' received the President of the Canary Islands, Fernando Clavijo, who was accompanied by the Minister of Tourism of the autonomous executive, Jessica de León. For a few moments, they exchanged impressions on the "good tourist expectations" for the current year after closing the 2023 financial year with a balance that everyone described as "exceptional."

Likewise, the CICAR stand hosted the visit of the Minister of Territorial Policy and Democratic Memory of the Government of Spain, Ángel Víctor Torres, as well as the president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Oswaldo Betancort, among other authorities.

Audio guide of the capitals of the Islands

Mamerto Cabrera conveyed to the authorities present the novelty that CICAR will soon incorporate into its Audio Guide of the Canary Islands. It is an 'audio guide' of the capitals of the Islands, whose objective is to bring the places of
interest of each of them to the tourists who visit them.

The 'Audio Guide of the Canary Islands' was created by CICAR in 2011 with the purpose of improving the experience of users of its rental cars when traveling through any island of the archipelago. It is an application in several languages that can be downloaded on mobile devices and also includes La Graciosa.

Audio guide: à la carte or by GPS

Once the user downloads the app of the Audio Guide of the Canary Islands on their mobile, they can listen to it on the vehicle's audio equipment. As they travel through an island, the user can choose between selecting the track they want to listen to, in accordance with the landscape or the place in front of them, or the track will jump automatically by GPS positioning.

'Fitur' is one of the three major tourism fairs in the world, so attendance is considered mandatory to learn about the trends in the tourism sector in the immediate future. As in past editions, CICAR has its own stand located next to the public institutional representation and the private sector of the Canary archipelago.
