Avícola Morales has launched the first eggs in the Canary Islands produced under sustainable development at its Zero Emissions Farm, powered by 208 solar panels and disconnected from the electricity grid.
Ana and Luis Morales, owners of the farm, are committed to corporate social responsibility, in a 100% efficient company that adapts to the new demands of the market.
The local company, with more than 50 years in the sector, offers KM Zero products and is committed to local and regional employment in a context of sustainability. The use of sustainable packaging, 100% recyclable cases and compliance with quality standards such as ISO900 Certified Quality Control and ISO 14001 Environment Applus certify this.
Conecta Tierra Project
With the Conecta Tierra Project, Avícola Morales stops emitting 124 tons of CO2 annually with its activity. 6,000 trees would be needed to absorb them.
The energy accumulated through the 208 solar panels, installed on the roof of the farm, is accumulated in batteries and all the excess is used to power the electric and sustainable mobile fleet, which the company is progressively incorporating for its logistics and the mobility of its employees. In addition, the entire project has been executed with local companies to promote the circular economy and bet on local employment.
