The Ministry of Universities, Science, Innovation and Culture of the Government of the Canary Islands, headed by Migdalia Machín, has concluded the procedure for direct payment of travel grants corresponding to the 2023/2024 academic year.
The latest resolution, notified on March 26, includes 205 estimated files for a total amount of 31,155 euros. These grants are aimed at students who are pursuing their academic education outside their island of usual residence, both on other islands and on the Iberian Peninsula. This is a measure that takes into account the geographical uniqueness of the archipelago and seeks to alleviate the added cost that this condition entails for many Canarian families, especially those residing on less populated islands.
According to the data from this third resolution, 22 files correspond to students from the University of La Laguna, 3 to the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and 180 to the rest of the universities or academic training centers.
The resolution will be published in the coming days, for information purposes, on the Ministry's website and in the Official Gazette of the Canary Islands. All information about this call is available on the following link.
