The Ministry of Health has reported this Friday a total of 13 deaths from Covid since last Tuesday. Nine of the deaths have been reported in Tenerife and four in Gran Canaria.
One of the deceased was 53 years old, while the rest were between 71 and 109 years old. All of them suffered from previous pathologies and were in hospital admission.
On the other hand, the Ministry of Health has confirmed a total of 677 new positives in people over 65 years of age since last Friday, which is the group that is being tested after passing the acute phase of the pandemic.
Thus, the Cumulative Incidence for this age group at 14 days stands at 604.26 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 7 days at 259.63.
The Ministry of Health points out that since July 8 "a sustained decrease in the cumulative incidence at 7 days has been observed, when we reached 913 cases per 100,000 inhabitants."
Currently, in the archipelago there are 301 people hospitalized with coronavirus, of which 23 are in the ICU and the rest, 278, on the ward.
