The restriction on non-essential activities will be lifted on April 9

The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, has specified that the restriction of movements decreed last weekend, which almost completely stopped the economy, will end on April 9, so the conditions of the state of alarm initially approved due to the coronavirus crisis will be resumed.

During the appearance he offered at La Moncloa to announce that he will ask Congress for a new extension of the alarm, until 00:00 on April 26, the president referred to the main measure of the decree law approved last Sunday, close to midnight.

The restriction of movement for workers in non-essential sectors, and consequently, the application of paid work leave, was that measure, which will be in effect until the end of April 8.

Sánchez has said that already on the 9th that measure will not continue, so Spain will return to the "state of alarm prior to the approval of that decree law".
