The president and founder of the association Mi Mundo en Silencio (My World in Silence), Daniel Jackson, held an institutional meeting with the president of the Parliament of the Canary Islands, Astrid Pérez, with the aim of giving voice to families living with hearing impairment and who require cochlear implants to improve their quality of life. He was accompanied by the deputy Marta Gómez in this meeting.

During the meeting, Jackson stressed that affected households face a complex reality: the high cost of implants and their components, coupled with the need for continued care, places them in a scenario of vulnerability and risk of social exclusion. The association he leads seeks precisely to accompany these families, offer support and demand public policies that ensure greater protection and equity.

Pérez showed her willingness to listen and convey these concerns to the parliamentary sphere, recognizing the importance of giving visibility to a group that, despite technological advances, continues to face serious difficulties in fully exercising their rights on equal terms.
