The president of the Parliament of the Canary Islands, Astrid Pérez, welcomed this Tuesday 27 new workers who are joining the Chamber after passing the opposition process.

A total of 11 new officials of the Body of Ushers and Drivers, 10 women and 1 man, all of free access, 16 new officials of the Administrative Body, 5 men and 11 women, 4 of internal promotion from the Body of Ushers and Drivers, and 12 of free access.

These latest calls for civil servant positions in the Chamber represent the largest promotion in its history. The Canarian Parliament takes a significant step in stabilizing its staff, achieving a significant reduction in the rate of interim positions. In the administrative body, the rate of interim positions has gone from 23% to 6%, while in the body of ushers the percentage has been reduced from 26% to 5%.

The president of the Parliament of the Canary Islands, Astrid Pérez, personally congratulated the new staff for having passed the selection process and wished them "good luck and success in their new responsibilities within this institution that represents the democratic will of all Canarians," she said.

This reinforcement of personnel not only improves the administrative efficiency of the Parliament, but also reinforces the Chamber's commitment to job stability and the professionalization of public service.
