The Ministry of the Presidency, Public Administrations, Justice and Security, headed by Nieves Lady Barreto, through the Directorate General for Modernization and Quality of Public Services, promotes citizen participation in the development of the Institutional Integrity Strategy, with the launch of a survey to gather the perception of the functioning of the Public Administration.
This initiative aims to understand the public's opinion on fundamental aspects such as trust in institutions, transparency in public management, institutional integrity, and the prevention of possible malpractices. The responses obtained will form part of the first diagnosis, open to all sectors, which will integrate the vision of citizens and social groups, along with that of public employees and senior officials.
In addition to analyzing the existing framework, the questionnaire will help to identify strengths and weaknesses, detect risks and opportunities for improvement, and collect good practices in terms of institutional integrity of the Administration, as well as on the values that should guide integral and close public action.
Citizen participation is especially relevant, since the future Strategy aims to drive a profound change in the organizational culture of the Administration, promoting values, behaviors, and management forms that strengthen public integrity.
According to Juana María Reyes, general director of Modernization and Quality of Services, “it is about moving towards an Administration that places citizens at the center of its actions, strengthening trust, transparency and commitment to the public”.
The questionnaire guarantees anonymity of the participating individuals. All responses will be treated confidentially, ensuring at all times the protection of information.
