The Ministry of Universities, Science, Innovation and Culture of the Government of the Canary Islands, through the Canary Agency for Research, Innovation and Information Society (ACIISI), announces a new edition of the Weeks of Science and Innovation in the Canary Islands (SCIC26), which this year celebrate their twenty-second edition.
Throughout the month of November, the islands will once again become a meeting space between science and society, with free activities aimed at audiences of all ages to showcase the research, innovation, and technological development generated in the Canary Islands.
As every year, the initiative will bring together universities, research centers, companies, public administrations, and other entities from the Canary R&D&I ecosystem, with the common goal of sharing knowledge and experiences with citizens, awakening scientific vocations, and fostering interest in technology and innovation, especially among new generations.
An invitation to share knowledge
ACIISI invites entities from the Canary R&D&I ecosystem to join SCIC26 with activities that allow them to showcase their work, share their progress, and bring their projects closer to society.
And, of course, it invites citizens to enjoy a program designed to awaken curiosity, facilitate access to knowledge, and discover how science and innovation contribute to understanding and transforming the world around us.
The official ACIISI website, which is already active, offers information on the permanently updated agenda (https://www.cienciacanaria.es/scei2026/). Each activity includes information on how to participate and, where applicable, to register.
The program includes face-to-face and online activities, aimed at students, teachers, families, associations, companies, specialized groups, and the general public from all islands. Open days, guided tours, workshops, talks, demonstrations, and exhibitions are some of the proposals to get to know firsthand the work of those who drive the scientific and technological development of the Canary Islands.
With this twenty-second edition, the Weeks of Science and Innovation once again open a window to the knowledge generated in the Canary Islands.
