To mark World Breast Cancer Day, the President of the Parliament of the Canary Islands, Astrid Pérez, received several representatives of the Carrera por la Vida Canarian Foundation, who presented the results of the third edition of the "Camino de Santiago for Life" project, a solidarity and self-improvement experience aimed at people affected by this disease.

During the meeting, several members of the Foundation shared with the president the experiences of the 40 participants, mostly women with breast cancer, who between August 30 and September 7 walked the 120 kilometers of the Portuguese Way. The objective of this initiative was to highlight survival, promote early detection, and foster coexistence and mutual support between patients and companions.

The representatives of the Carrera por la Vida Foundation were very grateful for the reception of this project and the documentary made by the journalist Yaiza Díaz about the experience lived during the Camino de Santiago.

The Canary Islands' Race for Life Foundation continues to consolidate its work of raising social awareness, supporting patients, and promoting active and supportive living, reaffirming its commitment to the cause of breast cancer in the Canary Islands.
