One death and 225 new cases of covid among people over 60 years of age

There are 89 people hospitalized for coronavirus, six of them in intensive care and 83 on the ward.

Coronavirus covid-19 infections in the Canary Islands among people over 60 years of age total 225 in the last three days, during which time an 83-year-old person has died in Tenerife who suffered from previous pathologies and was in hospital.

The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands has reported that the incidence of new cases among those over 60 years of age is 182 infections per 100,000 inhabitants in the last fourteen days and 86 in the last seven.

Since the pandemic began, the number of people infected in the archipelago in that age group totals 96,555.
