The National Geographic Institute (IGN) has located more than 50 earthquakes south of Cumbre Vieja in the last night --since 10:00 p.m. this Wednesday--, the most intense, felt by the population, in Mazo, of magnitude 4.3, at 02.14 hours and a depth of 37 kilometers.
During this morning, given the advance of the lava flows further northwest, the evacuation of fifty homes located in the municipalities of Los Llanos de Aridane (Las Martelas) and Tazacorte (Marina Alta, Marina Baja, La Condesa and Cuesta Zapata) has been ordered.
Residents in these population centers have been summoned to concentrate in two sports facilities in Los Llanos de Aridane and Tazacorte.
The area affected by the advance of the lava amounts to 807.85 hectares and the Cadastre records 1,132 buildings destroyed by the effect of the advance of the lava, most of them for residential use, according to the daily report of the National Security Department.
Regarding air quality, the change in atmospheric conditions means that the level of suspended particles is not worrying and, unlike previous days, it is estimated that, in general, air quality is moderately good.
In addition, the portable desalination plants for crop irrigation are scheduled to start operating this Saturday.
