Evacuation ordered in several areas of Los Llanos due to the advance of the lava flow

About 800 people must leave their homes

The Pevolca management has ordered the evacuation of residents of several population centers of La Laguna, in Los Llanos de Aridane, due to the expected advance of the lava flow that runs further northwest and its proximity to the boundary area of the already evacuated perimeter.

Specifically, the evacuation of the area between Camino de Cruz Chica at the intersection with Camino Nicolás Brito País and from this point to the intersection with the LP-213 (las Martelas-Casa Kiko) is ordered. And descending to the intersection with the general road from Los Llanos de Aridane to Puerto Naos. The streets Camino los Breñuscos, Camino del Monte up to number 21 (included), Camino las Casitas and Camino los Barretos are included.

From 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., the people affected, between 700-800, by this evacuation order must leave their homes, with their belongings and domestic animals, and go to the meeting point located in the Campo de Lucha Camino León de Los Llanos de Aridane.

Those people who cannot collect belongings during today, will be allowed to do so in later days, gradually and accompanied, whenever security conditions allow.

Also, please cooperate with the security forces in the evacuation; remain calm, transmit it to others and do not spread unfounded rumors; close all exterior windows and doors, lower the blinds; close the water, gas and electricity supplies; bring documentation (also the house's) and daily medications, cell phone and charger, flashlight and clothes for several days.

In turn, the population is asked to go to the established meeting points; use telephones only for what is strictly necessary. If you have animals, the evacuation will be carried out following the guidelines of the Animal Action Protocol that will be indicated at the Meeting Point.
