Coronavirus deaths in the Canary Islands are increasing again in the last 24 hours to 17 deaths, so that deaths stand at 1,401, according to data provided by the Ministry of Health of the regional Executive. Nine in Gran Canaria, seven in Tenerife and one in La Palma, pending validation by the General Directorate of Public Health.
Regarding cases, 1,439 new positive Covid-19 cases have been registered in the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 255,236, of which 101,629 are active, of which 94 are admitted to the ICU (+4), 596 remain hospitalized (-39) and 100,939 are in their homes (+629).
Currently, the Cumulative Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands continues to fall to 530.58 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days it decreases to 1,577.2 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
Until this Saturday, a total of 3,086,524 diagnostic tests have been carried out on the islands, of which 8,166 correspond to yesterday.
By islands, Tenerife adds 549 cases to accumulate 119,665, of which 47,033 are epidemiologically active; while Gran Canaria registers 622 more positive cases up to 94,085 cases, of which 42,441 are active.
Likewise, Lanzarote adds 67 new cases to accumulate 18,060, of which 4,476 are epidemiologically active; and Fuerteventura registers 78 more positive cases to include 12,462 cases, of which 6,249 are active.
La Palma, for its part, adds 97 new positive cases to accumulate 8,018 cases, of which 1,132 are active; La Gomera adds 9 new positive cases, bringing the total to 1,466 cases, of which 121 are active; and El Hierro adds 17 new positive cases to include 1,480, of which 177 are active.
