Canary Islands regrets the death of 14 people with Covid in just three days

Currently, there are 123 people hospitalized for coronavirus in the archipelago, of which nine are in the ICU and 114 are on the ward.

The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands has reported this Friday the death of 14 people from coronavirus on the islands in just three days. Seven of the deaths were reported in Gran Canaria, four in Tenerife, two in La Palma and one in Fuerteventura.

One of the deceased was 46 years old, while the rest were between 56 and 97 years old, all of them in hospital and with "previous pathologies", according to the Ministry.

In addition, the archipelago adds this Friday a total of 327 new positives for Covid-19 among people over 60 years of age, which is the population group that is being monitored after passing the acute phase of the pandemic.

The Cumulative Incidence for this age group at 14 days stands at 271.34 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 7 days at 122.14.
