Canarias has registered a total of four deaths linked to coronavirus since last Friday. Of these deaths, two were reported in Gran Canaria and two in Tenerife, aged between 73 and 93, who had previous pathologies and were in hospital.
In addition, 254 new positives for Covid-19 have been recorded in the archipelago among people over 60 years of age, which is the population group that is being monitored after passing the acute phase of the pandemic.
Therefore, the accumulated cases of coronavirus among this group in the Canary Islands amounts to 98,336 people. Thus, the Cumulative Incidence for this age group at 14 days stands at 207.75 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 7 days at 108.42.
Currently, in the Archipelago there are 79 people admitted to hospital for coronavirus, of which eight are in the ICU and the rest, 71, are on the ward.
