Since last Tuesday, the Canary Islands has added a total of 473 new positives for Covid-19 among people over 60 years of age, which is the population group that is being monitored after passing the acute phase of the pandemic. In addition, the archipelago registers four deaths in the last three days, one of which occurred in Tenerife and three in Gran Canaria.
All the deceased, aged between 70 and 83 years, had previous pathologies and were in hospital.
Therefore, the accumulated number of coronavirus cases among this group in the Canary Islands amounts to 70,574 people. Thus, the Accumulated Incidence for this age group at 14 days stands at 778.30 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 7 days at 332.32.
Currently, there are 255 people hospitalized with coronavirus in the archipelago, of which 13 are in the ICU and the rest, 242, are on the ward.
