A reader has contacted La Voz to report the treatment by a bus driver on the island's public transport for "leaving her stranded" for not having cash this Thursday in the town of Montaña Blanca.
She says that around 2:20 p.m. she tried to pay for her public transport ticket with a card, but the card reader wasn't working. Apparently, the woman didn't have the 1.20 euros the trip costs in cash, so the bus driver "didn't let her on".
"The worst part is that I had my two-year-old son with me... situations like these should not happen, especially on public transportation that is supposed to cover the mobility needs of our island," he criticized.
In this sense, she also states that "the lack of sensitivity and humanity should not be forgiven, especially when I was with my son who had just left daycare."
