Electric Microbus in Arrecife

A reader has contacted La Voz to report the "malfunction" of buses in Arrecife. Specifically, the woman criticizes that the vehicles that pass through the José Molina Orosa Hospital are microbuses, small in size and with little capacity.

The woman went to the hospital this Wednesday morning and when she returned home, she had to let two buses go because they were full of people, which was delayed "more than half an hour." "I wanted to go to the Valterra neighborhood area but the people were like sardines in a can and even the bus door could not be closed," she says.

"I was even almost holding on to another girl because I had no other choice, I don't want to imagine if an accident happens," she says.

In addition, the reader asks herself "how can one be attached to people they don't know? There was no air and there was a bad smell, I had to ask the other passengers to open the windows," she says.

"I asked the driver why the big buses were not working and he told me that it is because they are all broken down, that they don't know what to do anymore because the users have them overwhelmed," she declares.

Likewise, the woman assures that "the iron of the bus door was sticking into her back because she had no choice but to take that one because she had already let two pass." "If there is money for so much partying and so much stuff, how is it possible that citizens are suffering this and exposed to catching any disease?", she asks.
