Airan Fontes has written to La Voz to denounce the "unbearable" smell in El Charco de San Ginés "every time the tide goes out and exposes all the crap accumulated by the rain of last week". This neighbor affirms that the situation will remain the same "for a long time" if the Arrecife City Council "does not remedy" since, according to him, "there is no current to clean the bottom".
"The worst thing of all is, when the cruises arrive, to see that the tourists
sit on the terraces in the area to have a coffee. They have to
endure the strong smell of crap, literally", he assures.
"All that's missing is for the City Council to put up a welcome kiosk selling churros, since they already have the chocolate for dipping in El Charco de San Ginés", this neighbor ironizes.
