A reader has contacted La Voz to report that the company in charge of water management in Lanzarote, Canal Gestión, is forcing her to pay an "abusive" bill of 2004.89 euros.
Upon learning the high amount she has to pay, the woman decided to file a complaint with Canal Gestión. However, the response given by the company is to "cite article 14.1 and that the regulation establishes a verified error of 8%."
"After the continuous water cuts we suffer and breakdowns throughout the town, I have paid double for electricity due to the continuous use of the hydro to use the water from the cistern," she says.
"What is clear to me is the lack of shame of Canal Gestión, it will also have some regulation and instead of a house what I have is a submersible," the woman ironically states.
