A resident of La Graciosa denounces the amount of rubble that is deposited on the eighth island "with total impunity"

"The island of La Graciosa is a Natural Park, Marine Reserve and Biosphere Reserve, which makes it very special and attracts tourism that is an important source of income for its inhabitants.

But this situation can be ruined by the lack of sensitivity of the competent bodies in maintaining this space clean, intact and, in short, protected from the predatory action of unscrupulous people who pollute it with mountains of rubble with total impunity despite repeated complaints, not only to the author of these rubble dumps directly, but also to the entities competent in caring for and protecting this space.

Understand the Cabildo, the Ministry of the Environment and the City Council, without any remedy having been put in place, as can be seen in the photos that accompany this letter and that prove the long life of the rubble dumps, with more than a year of life.

What do you say to the tourists who ask us about who is responsible for this mess and why nothing is done?

This ignominy will weigh on the conscience of those responsible who have the solution in their hands. And what do we answer when they ask us about the European Funds for the Environment that are sent to the Island of Lanzarote for the maintenance of the Natural Reserves?"
