Valuable draw for Unión Sur Yaiza in their visit to Cacereño (2-2)

The southerners draw at the home of the third-placed team in the Second Federation

Valuable draw for Unión Sur Yaiza in their visit to Cacereño (2-2)

Unión Sur Yaiza stood up to the third-placed team in Group V of the Second Federation, and achieved a valuable draw at the home of CP Cacereño. The southerners recovered twice from the goals conceded, tying the match with goals from Marco Siverio and Fabricio. A match with controversy, conceding one of the goals in a clear offside position of the Cacereño player.

The pace was dizzying from the start of the match, with Unión Sur Yaiza having the first chance before the first minute of play, with a shot from Nuha that went wide. Cacereño's response came in the form of a goal, when Isaac anticipated the defense and finished at the near post from a cross by Sancho.

Far from falling apart, Unión Sur Yaiza reacted and equalized just five minutes later. A good cross from Emiliano Trovento was headed in by Marco Siverio, beating goalkeeper Nieves to level the score at the Estadio Principe Felipe.

The match was being an exchange of blows, and before the first half hour Cacereño was back in front on the scoreboard. A free kick from the side was finished off by Clausí. A goal that should not have been allowed, as the local player was in a clear offside position.

Unión Sur Yaiza would equalize again before the break. In a strategic play from a corner kick, Fabricio surprised the defenders, scoring a beautiful goal to establish the 2-2 draw with which they reached halftime.

In the second half, Unión Sur Yaiza had control of the ball, but as the minutes went by, Cacereño began to generate a lot of danger. The southerners' defense had to work hard to stop the attacks of the locals. Malick could not take advantage of a defensive error in the 66th minute, shooting alone from inside the area.

With the draw, the match came to an end, with Unión Sur Yaiza adding a valuable point to continue in the fight for permanence with six games remaining until the end of the regular phase. A draw that the southern team must make good next week in the match against San Sebastián de los Reyes.
