Unión Sur Yaiza found it difficult to steer the victory against Atlético Victoria

2-0 victory for the southerners to regain the second position in the standings

Unión Sur Yaiza and Atlético Victoria

Unión Sur Yaiza returned to winning ways, allowing them to maintain their chances of fighting for direct promotion in the three remaining matchdays. The southerners struggled to get the game going against Atlético Victoria, and it wasn't until the last ten minutes that the two goals materialized, both scored by Moha.

The match started with chances for both teams. Mario Barcos tested goalkeeper Nauzet Pérez's reflexes, and Unión Sur Yaiza responded with a shot from Ubay that was brilliantly saved by goalkeeper Alejandro. On the rebound, Agustín Gallego saw his shot cleared off the line by a defender. Towards the end of the first half, Unión Sur Yaiza had two good chances through Aitor. In the first, he shot centrally from the edge of the area, and in the second, his long-range shot missed the target. The first 45 minutes ended in a goalless draw.

Atlético Victoria had to play a good part of the second half with one player less on the field after Dani was sent off in the 56th minute. The introduction of fresh players like Alex Yunes, Emiliano Trovento, and Roy allowed Unión Sur Yaiza to take control of the game. The first goal of the match didn't come until the 80th minute. A cross from Roy was cleared by the Tenerife defense, the ball fell to Matías, who passed it to Moha on the edge of the area, and he scored with a powerful shot into the back of the net. The relief came ten minutes later when Moha capitalized on a good pass from Emiliano Trovento from the left.
