UD Lanzarote let a match slip away against one of the teams in the lower part of the standings and could not take advantage of the tie in the direct duel between two of the candidates to fight for the promotion play-off, falling defeated by 0 to 1 against CD San Miguel at the Municipal Pancho Bermúdez. The "rojillos" were once again slow when it came to taking advantage of offensive actions.
After some initial minutes of quite intensity, the first chance came for UD Lanzarote in the 13th minute. In a quick counterattack, Ale Fuentes entered on the left wing, passed for the arrival from behind of central defender Raúl, and the defender's shot was saved low by goalkeeper Gabriel.
With five minutes remaining until halftime, the best chance came for UD Lanzarote. In a corner kick, Raúl headed the ball, which ended up hitting the crossbar, Javi Martín headed the rebound, and Gabriel's hand prevented the goal. The score was tied at zero at halftime.
UD Lanzarote took control of the game in the second half but could not find a way to overcome a well-positioned CD San Miguel on the field. With ten minutes remaining, a powerful shot from Ale Fuentes was repelled by the crossbar. Two minutes later, a shot from Nadjib from the edge of the area was repelled by the goalkeeper.
CD San Miguel did not forgive in the 83rd minute. In a quick play, Joni entered on the right wing, passed to Amin, and the crossed shot beat goalkeeper Ruymán. Until the end of the match, UD Lanzarote turned to seeking the tie.
