Mascaritas Race Tinajo 2022

The Tinajo Carnival 2022 had one of the most anticipated events this Sunday, the VI Mascaritas Race, organized by Cronoline in collaboration with the Department of Sports of the City Council of Tinajo and the CDB Tizziri Tinajo.

According to the Tinajero Consistory, there were nearly 300 participants, who, full of "desire and color," enjoyed the carnival Mascaritas Race. In addition, they point out that the 5-kilometer modality kicked off the Tinajo Popular Race Cup.

The City Council also highlights the celebration of the children's race, a spectacle that grows every year and that "draws a huge smile on the faces of parents and, above all, on those of the smallest athletes in the house."

In addition, they add that this event has proven "the social, supportive and fun nature of a test that already has a more than deserved fixed place in the island's sports calendar."

Antonio Jesús Atienza, from CD Perenquén, was the male winner of the 5.2-kilometer race, with a time of 19:12, followed by Saúl Rodríguez, from Club Montaña Hilera and Hugo Pérez. In the women's category, Cristina Molina won, with a time of 26:03, followed on the podium by Lucía Rodríguez and Ali Hardie.

In the 10.4-kilometer race, the winner was Sergio Hermelo with a time of 40:16, followed by Adrián Carneiro, from CD Lanzaatletas, and Guize Medina. In the women's category, the winner was Ana Yúryiga Lemes, from JCH Running with a time of 55:35, followed by her clubmate María Cristina Díaz and Aida Rodríguez.
