Sport and music will go hand in hand on March 1 at the fifth edition of the Music Marathon Festival. A sporting event in which runners will be accompanied throughout the course by live music. A social event open to all audiences, in which not only is there competition, but also participants can enjoy the good atmosphere. Registration to participate in the V Music Marathon Festival is open and can be done until Thursday, February 27.
Running, jogging, walking and even skating are the different ways in which the Music Marathon Festival can be done. A sporting event aimed at all those who like to play sports, enjoy their surroundings and open to all ages. Throughout the course along the Avenida de Las Playas in Puerto del Carmen, runners will be accompanied by live music from the best musical bands in Lanzarote.
The V Music Marathon Festival will have three disciplines for adults. The event includes the usual distances of 1/2 Marathon (21.1 km), 1/4 Marathon (10.550 km) and 1/8 Marathon (5.275 km). In addition, there are several races for the little ones, adapting a route of 800 meters for boys and girls from 4 to 9 years old, and a route of 1,600 meters for young people from 10 to 16 years old. The V Music Marathon Festival will take place along the Avenida de Las Playas in Puerto del Carmen, between the VIK Hotel San Antonio and the Hotel Fariones.
The V Music Marathon Festival will be held on Saturday, March 1. From 3:00 p.m. the sporting and musical atmosphere will begin to be experienced in Puerto del Carmen. At 3:30 p.m. the little ones will start in the 800 and 1,600 meter races and at 4:00 p.m. the rest of the 1/2, 1/4 and 1/8 Marathon events will start. Once the different distances have been completed, the trophies will be awarded and the "Finish Line Festival" will be celebrated. An event full of music, food and fun, where spectators will join the runners to celebrate the culmination of the event and their arrival at the finish line.
Registration to participate in the V Music Marathon Festival is open and can be done until Thursday, February 27. Registration can be done through the official website of the event (www.musicmarathon.com) or at the Ocean Lava Club House, located in the Los Arcos Shopping Center. The Ocean Lava Club House is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. from Monday to Friday. Registration costs 35 euros for the 1/2 Marathon category, 30 euros for the 1/4 Marathon event and 25 euros for the 1/8 marathon event. Minors under 16 years of age will have to pay a registration fee of 10 euros. Registration includes an event t-shirt, finisher medal and bracelet and the possibility of enjoying live music from the beginning to the end of the event.
