Equipo TAZ de Lanzarote

TAZ Lanzarote delivered a notable performance in the Spanish Olympic Wrestling Championship, held on March 29 and 30 in Asturias, by reaching third place in the general club classification, consolidating its presence in the national elite of this discipline.

The championship, organized by the Spanish Federation of Olympic Wrestling and Associated Disciplines, brought together the best wrestlers from the national scene, in a competition of high technical level and physical demand.

At an individual level, the Lanzarote expedition achieved a total of six national medals, with very outstanding performances in different categories:

Dorian Lemes, silver medal

Jordi Lage, silver medal

Karel Lemes, bronze medal

Irinea Medina, bronze medal

Izan Quintero, bronze medal

Darrington De la Cruz, bronze medal

The team once again demonstrated its competitiveness in an especially demanding championship, in which each combat was resolved with great intensity and where the level among clubs was very high.

From the technical staff of TAZ Lanzarote, this result is valued as “a new sign of the team's consistency in national competitions”, highlighting the group's ability to adapt to different fighting modalities and continue obtaining top-level results.

The third place by clubs reinforces the work that TAZ has been developing in the training and preparation of its athletes, maintaining itself as one of the referents of the national panorama both in grappling and in Olympic freestyle wrestling.

The club thanks the support of family members, sponsors and collaborators who make possible the participation and success in state-level competitions, such as the Insular Sports Service of the Cabildo de Lanzarote and the sports council of the Arrecife City Council.
