The Lanzarote Raqueta Club traveled to Fuerteventura and once again stood out in the regional badminton scene with the participation of five of its players in the Canary Islands U-17 School Selections Championship, with Jorge Betancort, Atenea Morales, Eduardo Curbelo, Marco Verges, and Indara Arrocha forming part of the Lanzarote expedition that achieved a brilliant performance throughout the tournament.

The Lanzarote team managed to be proclaimed runner-up of the Canary Islands after playing a great, very even, and competitive final against Tenerife, in a match marked by the intensity and high level of play shown by both teams.

The performance of the Lanzarote Raqueta Club players highlights the great work being done at the grassroots level and the growth of Lanzarote badminton in the formative categories. The dedication, commitment, and effort of the five selected players were key to achieving a historic regional runner-up position.

The club has wanted to congratulate all members of the selection for the excellent championship they had and for proudly representing Lanzarote in a competition of the highest regional level.
