The Judo Club Costa Teguise Lanzarote was proclaimed champion of the National Junior League 2018 last Saturday, May 12, by achieving the first place in the final classification. "A final to which we arrived undefeated with eight matches won and one draw," they point out from the Club. "In the end we finished tied on points, tied on matches won, tied on ippons... and we achieved first place for having won in the direct match against Club Sotillos," they explain.
In addition, the Club emphasizes that the Canary Islands, the island and in particular Costa Teguise have achieved "an unprecedented trophy, a milestone in the history of Canarian Judo", since Lanzarote judo has managed to prevail in the National League, "the most important competition of Clubs in Spain".
As for the Senior team, it will continue next season in the highest national category (1st Division) since last Saturday it also achieved one more year the objective of permanence among the elite of national judo.
