Carmen Vicente, director of the Lanzarote Summer concluded by explaining that "after very tough qualifying competitions the level this year is very high, we have renowned athletes who are going to give a lot of spectacle." He has also announced that the tests are going to be very novel, "we cannot reveal anything, because our tradition is that the participants do not know what they are going to face until the day before the competition, but we can advance that we are going to have a different element on the beach that is going to give a lot of spectacle to the people who walk along the avenue, something unique that has never been done in the national scene" as well as tests of great strength, speed, endurance and agility.

After the resounding success of the last edition, this year the event will once again have two luxury locations, the Islote de Fermina and the Playa de El Reducto. On this occasion, in addition, the Lanzarote Summer Challenge 2023 has reserved novel tests that the participants will discover during the competition and new wod formats, both in sand, as in the tapestry or water. The most demanding tests, only suitable for the best and a spectacle for the attending public.

The competition will feature this year with the best 160 athletes chosen among the 800 presented to the online pre-selection, in which they had to face tough qualifying tests.
