The latest addition to San José Obrero gave the team more forcefulness in defense and in attack she did not hesitate to shoot at goal. In addition, it was a phase of the match in which Ailin López with her interventions under the posts stopped many shots from the visitors.
Nabila Harchaouin scored to establish the tie, having to request Rodrigo Llorden a timeout (17-17). After the instructions from the bench, it was Stefania Balaceanu who put San José Obrero ahead for the first time on the scoreboard. Goals from Nabila Harchaouin, Vesi Nenkova and Stefania Balaceanu (2), gave the locals a three-goal lead. The defensive work was giving the expected results and BM Gijón had problems in the attacking actions.
