The Puerto del Carmen's children's team is the best fourth team in Spain

The children's team of SPL Tiñosa Puerto del Carmen have achieved fourth position in the final phase of the Spanish Championship held this weekend at the Pabellón Municipal Infanta Cristina in Roquetas de Mar (Almería).

The champions of the Canary Islands won the first three matches of the final phase of the Spanish Championship, but the tournament became too long when it came to the distribution of medals. On Saturday, they fell against Cavidel Aula Valladolid Infantil Femenino (17-25), a team that has finally been proclaimed Champion of Spain. On the final day, Sunday, Rosa Álvarez's team fell again in the match for third and fourth place against Helvetia Anaitasuna A (34-18). In short, the black and white team remains the best fourth team in the country, a new source of pride for the Tiñosera youth academy.

In the scoring facet of the golden team, Martha Padrón Olsson scored twenty goals in the first part of the final phase, Iria Cedrés obtained another nineteen goals and Leire González eighteen goals. In the medal phase, Leire González added eight goals to her account, Martha Padrón and Iria Cedrés another seven each. 

The Tiñosero team that has finished fourth in Spain has been composed of: Daniela Balde, Hadara Castellano, Irene Sales, Inés Sales, Iria Cedrés, Leire González, Andrea Martínez, Martha Padrón, Daniela Lemes, Sofía Ouledelmadani, Lucía González, Elena Hernández, Nerea Suárez, Tamia De León, Mireia Montesdeoca and Zailka Moura under the helm of Rosa Álvarez.
