The Cabildo of Lanzarote has congratulated the athletes from Lanzarote who participated in the European Taekwondo Championship. The president, Oswaldo Betancort, has praised the effort made to achieve results that leave Lanzarote at "the highest level within the European showcase" in this discipline. "It is a pride for the island that our athletes have achieved these achievements, since it places us in a prominent position within this sport at an international level," he says.
For his part, the Minister of Sports, Juan Monzón, highlighted the importance of betting on sports on the Island. "These medals achieved are an example of the potential that Lanzarote has in sports modalities, and it is an added value to continue investing in it," he said.
The taekwondo athletes who participated and won titles in the Open European Tarkwon-Do ITFU Championships 2023 are: Dayana Villalba, Caleb Villalva, Alfonso Gonzalez, Amine khirani, Aran Jaaciel Bueno Ramirez, Laura de Vega Polo, Haridian Ramirez Pesantez, Valentina Martin Leal, Tatiana T. Garcia and Xavier Alejandro Flores Baulde.
