The San Ginés Regatta will begin its second post Covid-19 edition this Friday, which will be the 72nd edition of one of the oldest sporting competitions in Spain. On this occasion, it counts towards the Spanish High Seas Championship and the Canary Islands Cruiser Championship, organised by the RFEV and RFCV, respectively.
Nineteen boats will start this Friday at 17:00 hours to complete a 115 mile course between the ports of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and Arrecife. The first boats are expected to enter Arrecife in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Real Club Náutico de Arrecife has planned a programme of events for this Saturday with the opening of the exhibition “Small Sculptures” by the Lanzarote sculptor and yachtsman, Paco Curbelo. After a cocktail reception, the awards ceremony will take place, followed by the traditional “Chalanistas” dance.
