The most promising talents of Canarian wrestling will meet this Sunday morning on the island of Tenerife. The Canary Islands Weight Championship for the youth category is being held. The champions of each of the islands will fight to win the champion's sash. The island of Lanzarote will be represented by the presence of seven wrestlers who will try to leave a good impression.
The Santiago Yanez Yanez arena in Puerto de la Cruz hosts the Canary Islands Weight Championship this Sunday morning. The wrestlers from the island of La Palma start as big favorites in each of the weights, with the rest of the wrestlers trying to have their moment.
Ismael Déniz, a wrestler from CL Playa Honda, will compete in the over 110 kilos category. Camilo Durán from CL Guadarfía Arrecife will face the wrestlers in the 100 to 110 kilos category. The Arrecife team will also be represented by Alexander García in the under 60 kilos category.
CL Tao will be represented by Jefry Hernández, competing in the 60 to 66 kilos category, and Alexander Barrios, who will fight in the 73 to 81 kilos category. The Lanzarote expedition is completed with the participation of Alejandro Quesada from Unión Sur Yaiza, who will compete in the 66 to 73 kilos category, and José Antonio Elvira from CL Tinajo, competing in the 81 to 90 kilos category.
The manager Sixto Rodríguez, technician of the Lanzarote Federation of Canarian Wrestling, will be in charge of the Lanzarote team. The weighing of the wrestlers will take place from ten in the morning and at 11:15 am, the Canary Islands Weight Championship for the youth category is scheduled to begin.
