CB Lanzarote Puerto del Carmen has returned to the taste of victories this Saturday against Soliss Bm Pozuelo de CVA (24-21) at the Tías Municipal Pavilion in a match corresponding to the sixth day of the Women's Gold Honor Division.
Second victory in Gold for the tiñoseras who started with two of the newcomers as starters, Insfrán and Masseu, and Cristina Betancort doing damage on the right flank of the visitors. In the first minutes, a series of expulsions began that would be repeated throughout the match on both sides (4-2, min. 5).
The match entered a phase of exchange of goals that maintained some equality on the scoreboard, seasoned by the failure in the pass of the locals (6-6, min.13). As the minutes passed, it was found that the match was progressing in fits and starts. At the end of the first half, the figure of Paula Quiles appeared strongly in the Pozuelo goal, which allowed them to reach the break with minimal differences (13-12).
Yuli Quevedo fought with the post for the third time after the match restarted and the exchange of streaks between both squads returned. Puerto del Carmen continued to be weighed down by the accumulation of two minutes (17-17, min.13).
It was Made Cortez's turn, who grew in the goal to allow the aurinegras a two-goal advantage, a good guarantee for the final minutes. Also noteworthy is the figure of Carol López who, from the bench, was able, for a few minutes, to create effective gaps in the Pozuelo wall. Juanmi Pérez asked for a new timeout when he observed a certain jam in the tiñosero attack (20-18, min. 23-51). Upon returning, a wonderful screw from Yuyi began to decide the match. Tati Masse joined the party with a good balloon (22-18, min. 26).
Pozuelo did not give up and continued to push until causing a new stop by the local coach but there was no time for more, second victory for the tiñoseras that may become more important if possible at the end of the season when important issues are decided.
Noelia Delfa became the top scorer for the visitors and the match with seven goals, supported by the six goals of María Laguna. In the tiñoseras ranks, two players, both Paraguayan internationals, with five goals each at the end of the match, Yuyi Insfrán and Dely Leiva.

In the next match, in fifteen days, the tiñosero team visits the Salma Adesal court. The match will be played at the IDM Fuensanta in Córdoba on December 1 at 1:00 p.m. (peninsular time).
