Ca´Mario Lanzarote San José Obrero added its third victory of the season on Sunday morning, the second as a visitor, by narrowly defeating Cisne Colegio Los Sauces 28-29. The final score does not reflect the great difference that was recorded in the first part, with the Lanzarote team having a lead of nine goals. The second part was complicated for the team trained by Jordi Lluelles, with Ca´Mario Lanzarote San José Obrero being better in the final minutes.
From the beginning of the match, Ca´Mario Lanzarote San José Obrero took control of the game and the scoreboard. The Lanzarote team easily pierced the goal of Cisne Colegio Los Sauces and was very active in defense to prevent the Galicians from finding the goal defended by Dzmitry Patoski. In the 7th minute the scoreboard reflected a clear 1-5, with the local coach requesting the first timeout of the match.
The script of the match did not change after the instructions from the bench, with Ca´Mario Lanzarote San José Obrero being the one who had control of the game. The goals of Javi García (2) from the pivot and the goals of Andrei Vahknovich and Diego Reyes, allowed the visitors to achieve a partial score of 0-4 and put the 3-11 on the scoreboard. Shortly after, Julián Sánchez requested the second timeout of the match (5-12).
After the timeout, Ca´Mario Lanzarote San José Obrero achieved a partial score of 0-2 with two goals from Nico López, putting the advantage at nine goals (5-14) and being the maximum income that the visiting team had in the first part. Cisne Colegio Los Sauces reacted timidly before the break, reaching the end of the first half with a score of 11 to 17.
The second half began with a more plugged in Cisne Colegio Los Sauces. The Galicians only needed eight minutes to reduce the difference to two goals, which forced Jordi Lluelles to request a timeout to stop the dynamics of the locals (17-19). It was the Brazilian Marcio Da Silva who once again pierced the rival's goal, breaking almost eight minutes of drought for the Lanzarote team.
In the middle of the second half, Cisne Colegio Los Sauces managed to equalize the score. The goals of Javier Vázquez and Guilherme Linhares put the 21-21, with Javi García being the one who gave Ca´Mario Lanzarote San José Obrero a minimal advantage again. With six minutes left until the end of the match, the Lanzarote team's advantage was four goals (23-27), an income that they knew how to manage.
With one minute left, Javi García put the 26-29 on the scoreboard and the victory was no longer going to escape Ca´Mario Lanzarote San José Obrero. The two goals in the last minute of Alberto Casares did not endanger the victory of the players led by Jordi Lluelles, reaching the end of the match with a score of 28-29.
The victory allows Ca´Mario Lanzarote San José Obrero to climb several positions in the standings, one point ahead of Palma de Río, the team that is currently marking the relegation of the category. In the next match, Ca´Mario Lanzarote San José Obrero receives the visit of Club Hanbol Bordils, a team that is in relegation positions.
