San Bartolomé CF mathematically secured their permanence in the Third RFEF Division this Sunday, after winning against Estrella CF by one goal to zero.
The match started with batatero dominance from minute 1, with different combined plays that tested the local goalkeeper. So much so, that Kevin Castro had the clearest opportunity of the match with a one-on-one that he failed to materialize after the 20th minute of the match.
However, the batatero insistence bore fruit as the match approached halftime. A stumbled play managed to fall to Judicael, who managed to beat the visiting goalkeeper, putting the score at 1-0. A Judicael who had to leave the match due to injury.
The second half started with batatero dominance, with incursions down the wing by Loukou that made the arrival of the second goal for the local team feared. However, the lack of accuracy and the interventions of Arturo made it impossible.
Precisely Loukou had the clearest chance near the 55th minute, being practically alone inside the area and launching a strike that went just a few meters above the crossbar of the goal.
Touching the 84th minute of the match, Rayco Pérez, who entered in the second half, managed to outrun the defense and break the last defensive player remaining, finishing with an accurate shot to the left of the goal that goalkeeper Arturo managed to deflect.
The result did not change and, in this way, the referee blew the final whistle with 1-0 on the scoreboard, which means that the batatero team will remain for another year in the Third RFEF Division.
The batatero team will travel to Gran Canaria next week to face Unión Viera, next Sunday at 11:00 at Alfonso Silva.
