San Bartolomé CF is strong in Pedro Espinosa “Colón” and thrashes Unión Viera (4-0)

Judicael's three goals and Kevin Castro's goal allow the team to be out of the relegation zone in the last match of the first round

San Bartolome - Union Viera

The San Bartolomé CF Third Division RFEF team regained their smile after the resounding victory achieved this Saturday at the Pedro Espinosa "Colón" against Unión Viera by four goals to zero. This result, achieved thanks to Judicael's three goals and Kevin Castro's goal, allows the batateros to be out of the relegation zone after the last match of the second round.

“This victory was very important, given the situation we are in, we had to make a difference with a rival who is fighting for the same thing as us,” said the local coach, José Labrador, who also stated that “we decided to go for the match from the first minute, with pressure in a high block.” “We have had a great first half that has allowed us to extend the differences from the beginning,” Labrador asserted.

The first minutes of the match were dominated by San Bartolomé, and it was the locals who enjoyed the first opportunity with a shot from the edge of the area by Acorán.

As a result of those first opportunities, the first goal of the batateros arrived, a great play by Acorán's right wing allowed him to make a low cross that Judicael took advantage of to shoot at goal on the half turn, a ball that seemed to have been saved at the last minute by the visiting goalkeeper, although the linesman raised the flag ensuring that the ball had entered.

Just three minutes later, San Bartolomé CF managed to increase the distance on the scoreboard after a lateral free kick perfectly launched by Gopar, who found a finish at the far post with a lethal header from Judicael, thus adding the second goal to his personal account.

He even had the opportunity to score the third around the 23rd minute after a magnificent pass between the lines from Kevin Castro that Judicael barely missed. In addition, he was close to the 35th minute of the first half when Aco tried to surprise the visiting goalkeeper after a counterattack that caught Gárate off guard, although the shot went over the crossbar.

However, just two minutes later the third goal of San Bartolomé would arrive and Judicael's hat-trick, who after a measured pass from Keita from the right side defined with a heel to score the third goal in his personal account. With absolute dominance of the batatero team, and after numerous occasions that could even have increased the score even more, the teams went to the locker room.

The first minutes of the second half were of high intensity, with a change of pace from the visiting team that tried to surprise goalkeeper Agoney with several raids, especially down the left wing. The visitor Jeremy even had a great opportunity, with a direct free kick from the edge of the area that went inches from the goal defended by Agoney.

However, what arrived was the fourth goal of the batatero team, with a direct free kick launched by Kevin Castro that was impossible to stop by the visiting goalkeeper, thus placing a placid 4-0 on the scoreboard.

San Bartolomé CF continued to dominate on the scoreboard and even Alex Yunes, in the first ball he touched after entering in the 70th minute for the scorer of the day, had the fifth of the batatero team in his boots with a shot that went wide to the right of the goalkeeper.

The final minutes were dominated by batatero and even, in the last minute, Keita was about to get the fifth, after a triangulation with Yunes that the goalkeeper was able to stop and send to corner.

With this result, San Bartolomé CF closes the first round of the season in fourteenth position, out of relegation, with three wins, nine draws and five losses in seventeen games. The next batatero commitment will be next Saturday against UD San Fernando, second classified, at 6:00 p.m. at the Pedro Espinosa “Colón”.
