Lanzarote Puerto del Carmen drew twenty-five this Saturday at the Municipal de Tías against Grupo Usa Handbol Mislata in a match corresponding to the sixth round of the women's División de Honor Oro.

The result, bittersweet for both teams, although somewhat more bitter for Jesús Casanova's squad, ended up being decided in the final seconds of the match.

The first few minutes of the match were tentative, with very fast play. In the initial stages, the home team pressed and gained a small advantage thanks to Made's good work in goal (8-4, min. 10.30). With positive momentum, a missile from Mónica Cabrera forced the first timeout from the Valencian team (10-5). Mislata scored from a penalty after the break. Verónica Cuadrado's team gritted their teeth. Chiva's intensity, Bolling's mobility, and Serena's saves made them improve their performance on the home court.

El Puerto did not flinch and capitalized on the Gabaldón sisters' passion. As the minutes ticked by, the trend continued: tough defense and an intense match. A couple of childish errors by the home team brought the Valencian side back into the game (13-11, 25th min.), but a two-minute penalty for Maestre for hitting the Tiñoso goalkeeper in the face gave El Puerto some breathing room. Little else would happen before halftime (17-13).

Mislata struck first after the break with the home team a bit sluggish. A goal by Yuli Quevedo jolted them awake three minutes into the match (19-14).

The clash entered a somewhat crazy phase with both teams combining hits and misses continuously and without restraint (20-16, min. 10), but Puerto began to have doubts that only Made prevented from causing greater harm. Mislata started to get going and got back into the game. Dely broke away on the counterattack and forced another timeout from the visitors (21-19, min. 17:40).

Mislata scored again after the break, narrowing the gap to one goal and tightening their defense. AL Puerto struggled immensely in attack. Casanova assigned Gordo to man-to-man defense, but it proved futile as with eight minutes left, the game was tied at twenty-two, forcing the first local timeout. A new game began with seven minutes and fifty-three seconds remaining.Serena loomed large in the Valencian goal. A swift attack by Alejandra Caicedo returned the lead to the home team. Just then, Daniela García's recital began. Two consecutive goals from her gave Mislata the lead (23-24, min. 27). Serena continued her performance, with giant-like skills, and shut down the home team at their most crucial moment. A goal by Najara Gabaldón tied the game with just over a minute left to play. Made saved a shot from the world-class player Bolling, and Yuli caught a stellar pass to take the lead. But it wasn't over yet. Daniela García, unbothered, immense in the latter part of the game, tied it again with a breath to spare. Casanova's final timeout was now uselessWith this draw, Puerto del Carmen remains in thirteenth position, second to last, after four weeks without tasting victory. Mislata moves up to eleventh, with one more point than the tiñoseras.Ainara Gordo became the top scorer of the match and of her team with eight goals.
