Paula López Gómez was proclaimed champion of Spain last weekend in the Junior weightlifting championship held in Acoruña, achieving three gold medals, with 66 kg in snatch and 84 kg in clean and jerk, adding the third medal with 150 kg in the Olympic total.
The 16-year-old athlete from Lanzarote is training and studying at the High Performance Center in Madrid (Blume), where athletes such as world champion Lidia Valentín are preparing. She continues her outstanding progression, since last year she was proclaimed runner-up in Spain under 17.
